Lived in Greensboro for 2 years then moved back to Gastonia (why, I don't know) and went to work for Western Electric in Gastonia. Was displaced in 1975 and then went to work for BellSouth in 1980. Retired 1997. Also, worked part-time for Wal-Mart, Franklin Square, for 17 years. Retired from Wal-Mart last year. Lamar and I birdwatch and travel now. Thanks for the web site so we can keep in touch.

Placing American flag at the Audie Murphy Monument in Holtzwihr,
France where this brave American soldier earned the Congressional Medal of Honor on January 26, 1945. We made this excursion into the Colmar Pocket during our Rhine River Cruise.

Nothing like Christmas in New York on Times Square with your sister, Judy. We went to the 911 Memorial Museum, seen "Finding Neverland" on Broadway and a couple museums for Ernest Hemingway and the painting "The Lady in Gold"

March 28, 2015 A visit to Grotta Lighthouse (1897) at entrance to
Reykjavik (Iceland) Harbor off end of Seltjarnarnes peninsula.
This beautiful sunny day enabled us to observe the aurora
borealis this night making this trip worthwhile.

We lost our little Rusty in August to liver disease. RIP our dear little friend.

Another wonder of the world and unbelievable in size is the Great Wall. This is the Mutianyu section outside of Beijing.
If you get a chance to go to China, it is very well worth the long distance to get there. We loved every minute of the trip with China Odyssey Tours. September, 2013
